When we find ourselves in conflict or turmoil, it is natural to look outside of ourselves for the source of the problem. We blame others for their actions or attitudes that have contributed to the situation. We may even believe that if those around us would just change their ways, everything would be better. However, as we continue to focus on the faults of others, we neglect to consider our own role in the conflict. In the midst of chaos, it is easy to lose sight of our own thoughts and actions. We may not realize how our own attitudes and behaviors are contributing to the problem.
