Life is a singleplayer game from "summary" of The Almanack Of Naval Ravikant by Eric Jorgenson

Life is a singleplayer game. You're born alone. You're going to die alone. It's all on you. There are many people around you, but you're the only one in your head. You are the only thinker in your mind, the only perceiver of your reality. You are the only one experiencing your consciousness. This is not a call for solipsism, which is the philosophical idea that only you exist and everyone else is a figment of your imagination. That's not the point. The point is that you are ultimately responsible for your own life. You can't escape it. You can't delegate it. You can't outsource it. You can't hand it off to someone else. This is not a call for selfishness or narcissism either. It's a call for self-reliance. It's a call for self-awareness. It's a call for self-responsibility. It's a call to take control of your own life, to own up to your choices and your actions. It's a call to stop blaming others for your problems and start looking inward for solutions. Life is a singleplayer game, but that doesn't mean you have to go it alone. You can seek help. You can ask for advice. You can learn from others. You can collaborate and cooperate. But in the end, it's up to you to make the final decisions. It's up to you to take the necessary actions. It's up to you to live with the consequences of your choices. So play the game of life like it's your own. Take the wheel. Drive your own ship. Make your own path. Forge your own destiny. Because in the end, it's all on you. It's your game to win or lose.
