Stereotypes are like blinders that prevent us from truly seeing and understanding individuals. They create a narrow lens through which we view others, reducing their complex humanity to simplistic labels. When we rely on stereotypes, we fail to appreciate the unique experiences, perspectives, and qualities that make each person who they are. Instead, we make assumptions based on preconceived notions that may have no basis in reality. By pigeonholing people into categories, stereotypes strip away their individuality and flatten their identities.
