When the Children of Israel were being pursued by the armies of Pharaoh, they found themselves trapped between the Red Sea and their enemies. They were in a state of despair, fearing capture or death at the hands of Pharaoh's soldiers. At that moment, Prophet Musa (peace be upon him) raised his staff and called upon Allah for help. Allah then commanded Prophet Musa to strike the sea with his staff, and as soon as he did so, a miracle occurred. The sea parted into two massive walls of water, leaving a dry path in the midst of the sea.
