Construction of the Ark from "summary" of Stories of the Prophets by Ismāʻīl ibn ʻUmar Ibn Kathīr

Noah was a prophet who was chosen by Allah to guide his people to the right path. He lived among a people who had turned away from the worship of the One true God and had become engrossed in their own desires and pleasures. Noah tried to warn them of the consequences of their actions and called them to repentance, but they only mocked him and refused to listen. As the people's disbelief and disobedience continued to worsen, Noah received a revelation from Allah instructing him to build an ark. The purpose of this ark was to save the believers and the animals from the impending flood that would destroy the disbelievers. Noah, being a faithful servant of Allah, immediately set to work on constructing the ark as per the divine instructions. The construction of the ark was a monumental task, as it had to be large enough to accommodate all the believers and the various animals that would be saved.
