Right-censored data poses its own challenges. When we observe values below a certain threshold, we know the exact value. However, when values exceed a certain upper limit, we only know that they are greater than that limit. This type of data complicates statistical analysis because we lack complete information about the data points. In environmental studies, right-censored data is common when measuring pollutant concentrations. For example, if a certain pollutant is known to have a maximum allowable level, any readings above that level are right-censored.
