The need for control arises from fear. When you are afraid, you try to control every aspect of your life in order to feel safe and secure. However, this need for control actually stems from a lack of trust in the universe and in yourself. Releasing the need for control means letting go of this fear and learning to trust in the natural flow of life. It means surrendering to the fact that you cannot control everything, and that trying to do so only creates more stress and anxiety. By releasing the need for control, you open yourself up to the possibility of greater peace, joy, and fulfillment. You allow yourself to go with the flow, trusting that everything will work out as it is meant to.
