White privilege exists from "summary" of So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo

White privilege is a concept that many people struggle to understand. It is not about saying that everyone who is white has had an easy life, or that they have never faced struggles or disadvantages. Instead, it is about recognizing that in our society, being white comes with certain privileges that are not available to people of color. When we talk about white privilege, we are talking about the way that being white in America means that you are less likely to face discrimination, harassment, or violence simply because of the color of your skin. It means that you are more likely to be given the benefit of the doubt in a variety of situations, from interactions with the police to job interviews. White privilege also means that you are more likely to see people who look like you in positions of power and influence. It means that you are more likely to have access to resources and opportunities that can help you succeed. And it means that you are more likely to be represented in the media in a positive way, rather than being stereotyped or marginalized. Understanding white privilege is not about feeling guilty for being white, or about denying that you have ever faced challenges in your life. It is about acknowledging that our society is structured in a way that benefits white people at the expense of people of color. It is about recognizing that even if you have worked hard and struggled, you have still benefited from a system that was designed to advantage people who look like you. White privilege is not something that can be easily undone, but it is something that we can work to change. By acknowledging the ways in which we have been privileged by our whiteness, we can begin to dismantle the systems of power and privilege that have kept people of color marginalized for so long. It is a difficult and uncomfortable process, but it is necessary if we want to create a more just and equitable society for all.
