Ignorance leads to attachment and suffering from "summary" of Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta - Gita Saar (Hindi) 2020: भाग 1 by पं. रवि शर्मा

The Bhagavad Gita teaches us that ignorance is the root cause of all suffering in this world. When we are ignorant, we are unable to see things as they truly are. This ignorance leads us to form attachments to things that are impermanent and fleeting. We become attached to material possessions, relationships, and even our own egos. These attachments cause us to suffer because they are not based on reality. We may cling to things that bring us temporary pleasure, but ultimately lead to pain and disappointment. Our attachment blinds us to the true nature of the world and causes us to act in ways that are not in alignment with our higher selves. When we are ignorant, we are unable to see the interconnectedness of all things. We see ourselves as separate from the world around us, and this separation leads to feelings of loneliness and isolation. We may seek to fill this void with material possessions or relationships, but these things can never truly satisfy us. In order to overcome our suffering, we must first overcome our ignorance. We must strive to see the world as it truly is, free from the distortions of our attachments. We must cultivate a sense of detachment and learn to let go of our egos and desires. By letting go of our attachments, we can free ourselves from the cycle of suffering and achieve true peace and happiness. The Bhagavad Gita teaches us that only through self-realization and spiritual enlightenment can we break free from the chains of ignorance and attain liberation.
