Loyalty from "summary" of Ramayan by P. R. Mitchell

In the ancient Indian epic "Ramayan," loyalty is a central theme that runs throughout the story. The characters in the epic display unwavering loyalty towards their family, friends, and duties. One of the most notable examples of loyalty in the Ramayan is that of Lord Hanuman, the devoted monkey warrior who helped Lord Rama rescue his wife, Sita, from the demon king Ravana. Hanuman's loyalty towards Lord Rama is unwavering and unshakeable. Despite facing numerous challenges and obstacles, Hanuman remains steadfast in his devotion to Lord Rama and his mission to rescue Sita. His actions are driven by his deep sense of loyalty towards his lord and his unwavering commitment to serving him. Another example of loyalty in the Ramayan is that of Lord Rama's younger brother, Lakshmana. Lakshmana demonstrates his loyalty towards Lord Rama by accompanying him into exile and standing by his side in times of adversity. Despite facing hardships and sacrifices, Lakshmana remains loyal to his brother and never wavers in his commitment to serving him. The character of Sita also exemplifies loyalty in the Ramayan. Sita's unwavering loyalty towards Lord Rama is evident throughout the epic, as she stands by him through thick and thin, even when faced with unimaginable challenges and hardships. Her loyalty towards her husband is unshakable, and she remains devoted to him until the very end.
