Society's expectations can be stifling from "summary" of Peer e kamil (saw). by Umaira Ahmed
The weight of society's expectations can be suffocating, like a heavy cloak that constricts your every movement. It wraps around you, dictating what you should do, how you should act, who you should be. It leaves no room for individuality, for the unique spark that makes you, you. In 'Peer-e-Kamil', we see the characters struggling under the burden of societal norms and traditions. They are expected to follow a set path, to adhere to the rules laid out for them by others. But in doing so, they lose a part of themselves, a part that longs to break free, to soar beyond the confines of expectation. Iman, the protagonist of the story, feels this acutely. She is torn between what she wants and what others want for her. Her heart whispers one thing, while the voices of society scream another. It is a constant battle, a tug of war between her desires and the demands of those around her. Salar, too, faces the same struggle. He is shackled by the expectations placed upon him, by the legacy he is meant to uphold. But deep down, he yearns for something more, something that is uniquely his own. As we follow Iman and Salar on their journey, we see them grapple with the suffocating nature of society's expectations. We see how it weighs them down, how it stifles their true selves. And we are reminded of the importance of breaking free, of forging our own path, of listening to the voice within that speaks the truth of who we are. In 'Peer-e-Kamil', we are urged to question the norms that society imposes upon us, to challenge the status quo, to dare to be different. For only when we break free from the chains of expectation can we truly find ourselves, can we truly be free.Similar Posts
