In Macondo, the Buendía family faced numerous challenges that tested their strength and ability to endure. Despite facing seemingly insurmountable obstacles, they always found a way to persevere and overcome adversity. Through their resilience, they were able to weather the storms of life and emerge stronger than before.
One example of resilience in the novel is seen in the character of Ursula Iguaran. Despite facing countless tragedies and hardships throughout her life, Ursula never wavered in her resolve to keep her family together. She remained steadfast in her determination to protect her loved ones and provide for them, no matter what obstacles stood in her way.
