However, as I have learned through my own journey of recovery, forgiveness is a powerful tool that can bring about inner peace and healing.
When we hold on to anger and resentment, we are only hurting ourselves. These negative emotions can weigh us down and prevent us from fully experiencing the present moment. By choosing to forgive, we are not excusing the actions of others or forgetting the pain that we have experienced. Instead, we are choosing to release ourselves from the burden of carrying around all of that negativity.
