Doctor listens to patient's worries from "summary" of My First Trip to the Doctor by Katie Kawa

When I went to the doctor for the first time, I was a little scared. I wasn't sure what to expect or what would happen. But when the doctor walked into the room, I felt a little better. She had a kind smile and gentle eyes that made me feel comfortable. She sat down next to me and asked me how I was feeling. I told her about my cough and how I sometimes felt tired. She listened carefully, nodding her head as I spoke. I started to feel nervous again when I mentioned that I was worried about what might be wrong with me. But the doctor reassured me that she was there to help. She explained that it was normal to feel scared and that it was important to talk about my concerns. She asked me more questions about my symptoms and how they were affecting me. I felt like she really cared about what I had to say. As the doctor continued to listen, I started to feel more at ease. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. I told her about my fears of needles and hospitals, and she took the time to address each one. She talked me through the different tests she wanted to run and why they were necessary. I felt like she was being honest and open with me, which made me trust her even more. By the end of the appointment, I felt grateful for the doctor's patience and understanding. She had listened to all of my worries without judgment and had taken the time to explain everything to me. I left the office feeling relieved and reassured that I was in good hands. The experience taught me that it's okay to be scared and that it's important to talk about your fears. I knew that I could trust my doctor to listen and help me through whatever was to come.
