Humility practiced in interactions from "summary" of My Experiments with Truth by M.K Gandhi

As I reflect on my life and the various interactions I have had with others, I realize the importance of humility. Humility, to me, is not just a virtue to be admired from afar but a principle to be practiced in every interaction, no matter how small or insignificant it may seem. In my experiments with truth, I have found that humility can have a profound impact on the way we communicate and relate to others. When we approach others with humility, we are able to listen more attentively, speak more graciously, and act more empathetically. This not only fosters stronger relationships but also creates a more harmonious environment for all involved. I have learned that humility is not about thinking less of oneself but rather thinking of oneself less. It is about putting aside our own ego and self-interest in order to truly connect with others on a deeper level. By doing so, we can learn from one another, grow together, and ultimately create a more compassionate and understanding society. Throughout my journey, I have strived to practice humility in all my interactions, whether it be with friends, family, colleagues, or even strangers. I have found that by approaching each interaction with an open heart and a humble spirit, I am able to truly connect with others in a meaningful way. Humility, to me, is not just a concept to be understood intellectually but a way of being that must be lived out in our everyday interactions. It is through humility that we can truly see and appreciate the humanity in others, and in turn, foster a more compassionate and peaceful world for all.
