In a fixed mindset, individuals believe that their abilities and intelligence are static traits that cannot be changed. They see their talents as innate gifts that they either possess or lack. This belief leads them to avoid challenges, give up easily in the face of obstacles, and ignore constructive feedback. As a result, they limit their growth potential and fail to reach their full capabilities. When people with a fixed mindset encounter setbacks or failures, they tend to interpret them as a reflection of their inherent abilities. They see themselves as either smart or not smart, talented or untalented. This binary thinking prevents them from seeing the value of effort and perseverance in achieving success.
