Panic spreads from "summary" of Michael Crichton's Jurassic World by Michael Crichton
In a moment of crisis, panic spreads like wildfire through a crowd. It starts as a small spark, perhaps ignited by a sudden loud noise or a glimpse of danger. People begin to look around, searching for signs of trouble. Some may start to run, their fear contagious to those around them. Others freeze in place, unable to process the chaos unfolding before them. As the panic grows, rational thought gives way to instinctual reactions. The fight or flight response kicks in, flooding the body with adrenaline. People push and shove, desperate to escape the looming threat. In their frenzy, they may trample over one another, heedless of the harm they cause in their bid for safety. Communication breaks down in the chaos of panic. Shouts and cries blend together into a cacophony of noise. Misinformation spreads like a virus, fueling the fear and confusion gripping the crowd. Rational voices are drowned out, lost in the tide of hysteria sweeping through the throng. In the midst of panic, individuals may act in ways they never would under normal circumstances. Self-preservation becomes the primary goal, overriding any sense of empathy or cooperation. People become isolated islands of terror, each looking out only for themselves. Once panic takes hold, it can be difficult to contain. Like a wildfire raging out of control, it spreads rapidly from person to person, engulfing the entire group in its grip. Only when the threat is neutralized or the crowd dispersed can the panic begin to subside, leaving behind a trail of destruction and trauma in its wake.Similar Posts
