Advocating for rights of black South Africans from "summary" of Long Walk To Freedom by Nelson Mandela

In the struggle for justice and equality in South Africa, one of the central themes that emerged was the need to advocate for the rights of black South Africans. This was a fundamental principle that guided our actions and decisions as we fought against the oppressive apartheid regime. As we embarked on our journey towards freedom, it became clear that we needed to stand up and speak out against the injustices that were being perpetrated against our people. We could not sit idly by and watch as our rights were trampled upon and our dignity was stripped away. We had to take a stand and demand that our voices be heard. Advocating for the rights of black South Africans meant challenging the status quo and pushing back against the entrenched system of discrimination and oppression that kept our people marginalized and disenfranchised. It meant fighting for the right to live in dignity and freedom, to be treated as equals in our own land.
