The constant fear, the feeling of inferiority, the belief that I was destined for a life of suffering - these were the chains that bound me to my circumstances, that held me back from reaching my full potential.
But as I navigated the harsh realities of life in apartheid South Africa, I began to question the beliefs that had been ingrained in me since birth.
