They will never use their words as weapons, or their actions as a means of control. They will never make us feel like we have to earn their love, or prove our worth to them. They will never diminish us, or belittle us, or make us feel like we're anything less than deserving of love and respect. So if you find yourself in a relationship where love is hurting you, remember this: you deserve better. You deserve to be loved in a way that makes you feel whole, and cherished, and valued. You deserve to be with someone who uplifts you, who supports you, who brings out the best in you. And if you can't find that kind of love within the relationship you're in, then it may be time to let go. It may be time to walk away, and to find the kind of love that you truly deserve. Because at the end of the day, love should never hurt. Love should heal, and uplift, and bring us peace. And that is the kind of love we all deserve.
