Teams face challenges from "summary" of Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer

Throughout the expedition, teams faced numerous challenges that tested their physical and mental limits. The harsh conditions on the mountain made it difficult for climbers to maintain their strength and focus. The extreme altitude and cold temperatures pushed them to their breaking points, causing fatigue and disorientation. As a result, team members had to rely on each other for support and encouragement in order to persevere. Despite their best efforts to work together, conflicts arose among team members due to the stress and pressure of the climb. Differences in personalities and approaches to climbing created tension within the groups, leading to disagreements and misunderstandings. These conflicts threatened to undermine the cohesiveness of the teams and hinder their progress up the mountain. In addition to interpersonal challenges, teams also faced technical obstacles that posed serious risks to their safety. Equipment failures, avalanches, and unpredictable weather conditions all presented significant hazards along the route. Climbers had to adapt quickly to changing circumstances and make split-second decisions in order to avoid disaster. Despite the overwhelming odds stacked against them, the teams were able to overcome these challenges through perseverance and determination. By working together and supporting one another, they were able to push through the most difficult moments and achieve their goal of reaching the summit. The experience of facing these challenges together forged strong bonds among team members and left a lasting impact on their lives.
