The refusal to acknowledge the existence of those who live on the fringes of society only serves to maintain the status quo of inequality and injustice. By turning a blind eye to the struggles and suffering of marginalized individuals, we are complicit in perpetuating their oppression and silencing their voices. When we choose to ignore the margins, we are essentially denying the humanity of those who reside there. We are denying them the basic dignity and respect that every human being deserves.
