To survive on Mars, shelter will be a critical component. However, the shelter will need to be able to withstand the harsh conditions that exist on the red planet. These conditions include extreme temperature fluctuations, intense radiation, and powerful dust storms that can last for days. One of the key challenges of building shelters on Mars is the extreme temperature variations. During the day, temperatures on Mars can reach a relatively mild 70 degrees Fahrenheit. However, at night, the temperature can plummet to a bone-chilling -100 degrees Fahrenheit.
