Seek support from "summary" of How to Stop Losing Your Sh*t with Your Kids by Carla Naumburg

It's hard to be a parent. It's hard to be a good parent. It's hard to stay calm and patient when your child is pushing all of your buttons. We all lose our shit with our kids from time to time, but that doesn't mean it's okay. It doesn't mean we should just accept it and move on. We can do better. We can be better. But we can't do it alone. We need support. We need help. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness. It's a sign of strength. It takes courage to admit that you need help, that you can't do it all on your own. And that's okay. We're not supposed to do it all on our own. We're supposed to lean on others when we need to. We're supposed to ask for help when we need it. There are so many ways to seek support. You can talk to your partner, your friends, your family. You can join a parenting group or a therapy group. You can see a therapist or a counselor. You can read books and articles about parenting. You can listen to podcasts and watch videos. You can reach out to other parents online. You can find a mentor or a coach. You can do whatever works for you. The important thing is to find someone who gets it, who understands what you're going through, who can offer you empathy and support. Someone who won't judge you or shame you, but who will listen to you and validate your feelings. Someone who will help you see things from a different perspective, who will give you new tools and strategies to try. Someone who will remind you that you're not alone, that you're not a bad parent, that you're doing the best you can. So don't be afraid to seek support. Don't be afraid to ask for help. You deserve it. Your kids deserve it. Your whole family deserves it. And together, you can stop losing your shit and start being the parent you want to be.
