This is because our fears and anxieties have the power to hold us back, preventing us from living a fulfilling and virtuous life. By facing our fears with courage, we can begin to weaken their hold over us, gradually freeing ourselves from their grip.
When we avoid our fears and anxieties, we only give them more power over us. They become like a shadow that follows us wherever we go, constantly looming over us and influencing our thoughts and actions. However, when we confront our fears with courage, we take away their power to control us. We become the masters of our own destiny, no longer held captive by our fears and anxieties.
