Main character's family faces adversity from "summary" of Godan by Munshi Premchand

In the novel 'Godan', the main character, Hori, and his family experience a series of challenges and hardships that test their resilience and strength. From the very beginning of the story, Hori is shown to be a hardworking and dedicated farmer who struggles to make ends meet. Despite his efforts, he is constantly burdened by debt and poverty, which only seem to worsen over time. One of the major adversities that Hori's family faces is the pressure from moneylenders who exploit their vulnerability and force them into a cycle of debt that seems impossible to break.
