Faith is not about having all the answers but about seeking them from "summary" of Finding God in the Waves by Mike McHargue
In the journey of faith, it can be tempting to seek certainty, to grasp onto answers that promise to make sense of the world around us. But what if faith is not about having all the answers, but about the willingness to keep seeking them? What if faith is more about embracing the questions, the doubts, and the uncertainties that come with being human? When we approach faith as a journey of seeking rather than a destination of knowing, we open ourselves up to a deeper exploration of the mysteries of life and the universe. We acknowledge that we are limited in our understanding, that our knowledge is finite, and that there is always more to learn. By embracing the humility of seeking, we allow ourselves to remain open to new ideas, new perspectives, and new experiences. We recognize that our faith is not static, but dynamic - constantly evolving and growing as we engage with the world around us. In the process of seeking, we learn to hold our beliefs with an open hand, ready to let go of what no longer serves us and to embrace what brings us closer to truth and meaning. We cultivate a spirit of curiosity, a willingness to ask questions and explore the unknown, knowing that it is in the seeking that we find the most profound revelations.- Faith becomes less about having all the answers and more about the journey of discovery, the process of becoming more fully ourselves in relationship to the divine. It is in the seeking that we find connection, inspiration, and transformation - not in the certainty of knowing, but in the wonder of exploring. And so, we continue to seek, to question, to doubt, knowing that it is in the seeking that we find ourselves drawn closer to the infinite mystery that we call God.
