Take action despite fear from "summary" of Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway by Susan Jeffers

When we feel fear, our natural reaction is to avoid the source of that fear. We believe that by avoiding it, we will keep ourselves safe and comfortable. However, this avoidance only serves to reinforce our fear and limit our growth. Instead of allowing fear to control us, we must learn to acknowledge it and move forward despite it. This is where the concept of taking action despite fear comes into play. By taking action despite fear, we are able to confront our fears head-on and push past our limitations.
