We live in a society that has become obsessed with averages, always trying to fit individuals into predetermined categories based on standardized measures. This approach, however, fails to recognize the unique qualities and characteristics that make each person an individual. When we focus on averages, we overlook the fact that no one actually fits perfectly into these standardized categories.
