Social capital is another key factor that influences social status. This type of capital refers to the networks and relationships that a person has access to. Those with extensive social capital are often able to leverage these connections to gain advantages in various aspects of life, further solidifying their position within the social hierarchy. Furthermore, symbolic capital is crucial in determining social status. This form of capital relates to the prestige and recognition that an individual receives from others within society. Those with high levels of symbolic capital are often admired and respected, further elevating their social standing.- It becomes clear that economic capital is not the sole determinant of social status. Instead, it is the interplay of economic, cultural, social, and symbolic capital that ultimately shapes an individual's position within society. Through this lens, it is evident that social status is a complex and multifaceted construct that extends far beyond economic wealth alone.
