Greg babysits Manny and has a disaster from "summary" of Diary of a Wimpy Kid (Diary of a Wimpy Kid #1) by Jeff Kinney
So, Mom had this brilliant idea that I should babysit Manny for a day. I thought it would be an easy way to earn some money, but boy was I wrong. It turned out to be a complete disaster from start to finish. First of all, Manny is a handful. He's always getting into mischief and causing trouble. I tried to keep him entertained by playing games and watching TV, but nothing seemed to work. He even managed to break a vase in the living room, which I knew I would get blamed for. As if that wasn't bad enough, Manny had a meltdown at lunchtime. He refused to eat anything I gave him and ended up throwing his food all over the kitchen. I was at my wit's end trying to clean up the mess while keeping Manny under control. Things only got worse as the day went on. Manny somehow got his hands on a marker and decided to give himself a new look by drawing all over his face. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I tried to wash it off, but it only made things worse. By the time Mom came home, I was exhausted and defeated. The house was a wreck, Manny was covered in marker, and I was on the verge of tears. I couldn't wait to hand Manny back over to Mom and get out of there as fast as I could. Babysitting Manny was definitely not what I had in mind when I agreed to do it. It was a disaster from beginning to end, and I never want to do it again. Hopefully, Mom learned her lesson and won't ask me to babysit Manny anytime soon.Similar Posts
