Wholehearted living is about embracing vulnerability from "summary" of Daring Greatly by Brene Brown

Wholehearted living is not a one-time choice but a daily practice of showing up, being seen, and living with courage. It requires us to embrace vulnerability as the very foundation of our existence. This means being willing to take risks, be authentic, and show our true selves to the world. It is about having the courage to be imperfect, make mistakes, and still believe that we are worthy of love and belonging. Vulnerability is often seen as a weakness, something to be avoided or hidden. We are taught to put up walls, wear masks, and protect ourselves from being hurt or judged. However, when we shut ourselves off from vulnerability, we also shut ourselves off from the fullness of life. We miss out on true connection, joy, and fulfillment. We cannot experience love, creativity, or belonging without embracing vulnerability. To live wholeheartedly is to be willing to be vulnerable, to be open, and to be authentic. It means being willing to let go of who we think we should be and embrace who we truly are. It requires us to have the courage to be imperfect, make mistakes, and learn from them. It is about being willing to show up and be seen, even when it is scary or uncomfortable. When we embrace vulnerability, we open ourselves up to a world of possibilities. We allow ourselves to be fully seen and known, to connect deeply with others, and to live with authenticity and integrity. We understand that vulnerability is not a weakness but a strength, a source of courage and resilience. It is what allows us to live wholeheartedly, to dare greatly, and to truly experience life in all its richness and beauty.
