Integrity is not optional. It’s the bedrock of any functional and healthy organization. When we’re in leadership positions, we are asking people to trust us. We’re asking them to give us their time, their effort, and sometimes their money. We’re asking them to make sacrifices, to take risks, to go above and beyond. And the only currency we have to give them in return is our integrity. Without integrity, we have nothing. We can have all the fancy titles and corner offices in the world, but if we don’t act with integrity, we’ve lost the trust of our team.
