Healing takes time and patience from "summary" of Crying in H Mart by Michelle Zauner

Healing is not something that happens overnight. It is a slow, often frustrating process that requires immense patience. In the midst of grief and pain, it can be easy to want a quick fix, a way to numb the hurt and move on. But true healing does not work that way. It requires time - time to process, time to grieve, time to come to terms with the loss. Patience is key in this process. It is tempting to rush through the pain, to try and push it away as quickly as possible. But that only serves to prolong the healing process. It is okay to feel sad, to feel lost, to feel angry. These emotions are all a natural part of healing. They cannot be skipped over or ignored. They must be felt in order to truly heal. In "Crying in H Mart," Michelle Zauner beautifully illustrates the importance of allowing oneself the time and patience needed to heal. Through her own experiences of loss and grief, she shows how healing is a messy, non-linear journey. It is not a straight path from point A to point B, but rather a winding road with many twists and turns. Zauner's story reminds us that healing is not a destination, but a process. It is not something that can be rushed or forced. It takes time to work through the pain, to come to terms with the loss, to find a sense of peace. And that is okay. It is okay to take things one day at a time, to allow yourself the space and grace to heal in your own time. So be patient with yourself. Give yourself the time and space needed to heal. Trust that, in time, the pain will lessen, the wounds will heal, and you will emerge stronger on the other side. Healing takes time and patience.
