It is the right, and even the duty, of every person to question the authority that governs them. Without the ability to question those in power, there can be no accountability. If the people blindly follow their leaders without questioning their actions, then those leaders can easily abuse their power without consequence. Demanding accountability from those in authority ensures that they are held responsible for their decisions and actions. It forces them to justify their choices and to act in the best interest of the people they serve.
