In the midst of life’s challenges and responsibilities, it is essential to find equilibrium. Just as a skilled archer must balance the tension of the bowstring to hit the target accurately, we must balance the various aspects of our lives in order to live harmoniously. This balance involves navigating the dualities of existence – pleasure and pain, success and failure, joy and sorrow. When we are able to maintain this balance, we are better equipped to deal with the ups and downs of life with equanimity. We are neither overwhelmed by success nor defeated by failure.
