The Bhagavad Gita is an ancient Hindu scripture that is part of the epic Mahabharata. It is a dialogue between the Pandava prince Arjuna and his guide Krishna on a variety of philosophical issues. Faced with the duty to fight a battle against his own family, Arjuna turns to Krishna for advice on how to do his duty without attachment to the results. Through the conversation, Krishna teaches Arjuna the path of knowledge, devotion and action. The Bhagavad Gita is one of the most important spiritual texts in Hinduism and is considered to be a summary of the Upanishads. It is also a guide to living a moral and meaningful life, and has been an influence on many spiritual and religious traditions.
