The past is like a heavy burden that we carry on our shoulders, weighing us down and preventing us from fully experiencing the present moment. It is a collection of memories, both pleasant and painful, that we hold onto tightly, afraid to let go. However, by clinging to the past, we are unable to fully immerse ourselves in the here and now. Letting go of the past does not mean forgetting or denying our experiences. It simply means releasing our attachment to them, allowing them to fade into the background as we focus on the present moment.
