The concept of letting go of the illusion of separation is a fundamental principle in Zen practice. This illusion is deeply ingrained in our minds, creating a sense of division between ourselves and the world around us. We perceive ourselves as separate from others, from nature, from the universe. This perception of separateness leads to feelings of isolation, loneliness, and alienation. In reality, however, there is no true separation. We are interconnected with all beings and all things.
