Pigs manipulate rules for own benefit from "summary" of Animal Farm by George Orwell

The pigs on Animal Farm soon took over the role of leaders, claiming that they were the most intelligent animals on the farm. They devised a system of rules and commandments that all animals were expected to follow, with the pigs enforcing these rules with the help of vicious dogs they had trained. However, as time passed, it became increasingly clear that the pigs were bending these rules to suit their own needs and desires. For example, one of the commandments initially stated that "All animals are equal."
