Farm production declines from "summary" of Animal Farm by George Orwell
The animals worked harder than ever, but the fields seemed to grow poorer and poorer. The animals were dismayed to find that the harvest was even smaller than it had been in Mr. Jones's day. Some of the animals whispered that Snowball was to blame for this decline in production. They said that he was sneaking onto the farm at night and sabotaging their efforts. Others blamed the harsh weather or the lack of tools and resources. But whatever the reason, the fact remained that the farm was struggling to produce enough food to feed everyone. The pigs tried to reassure the animals that they were doing everything they could to improve the situation. They promised that things would get better soon if they just continued to work hard and follow the leadership of Napoleon. But as time went on, it became clear that the farm was in serious trouble. The animals were growing thinner and weaker, and there was not enough food to go around. Napoleon and the other pigs were living comfortably in the farmhouse, eating well and enjoying the fruits of the animals' labor. They had even begun trading with the humans, despite their earlier vows to never associate with them. The other animals watched in dismay as the pigs grew fatter and more powerful while they struggled to survive. Despite their best efforts, the animals could not ignore the reality of their situation. They were no better off now than they had been under Mr. Jones's rule. In fact, things seemed to be getting worse with each passing day. The dream of a prosperous and equal society had faded away, leaving behind a bitter sense of betrayal and disappointment. As the farm production continued to decline, the animals realized that something had gone terribly wrong. They had been promised a better life, but all they had to show for their efforts was hunger, exhaustion, and despair. The pigs may have reaped the benefits of their hard work, but the rest of the animals were left to suffer the consequences. And so, the once hopeful and united community of animals found themselves divided and defeated, their dreams of a better future shattered by the harsh reality of their present existence.Similar Posts
