Work towards social justice from "summary" of An Autobiography or The Story of My Experiments with Truth by M. K. Gandhi

I saw that the world was full of suffering and injustice. People were oppressed and discriminated against based on their race, religion, or caste. As I traveled and witnessed these injustices, I felt a deep sense of duty to do something about it. I realized that I could not sit back and watch while others suffered. I had to take action and work towards social justice. My first step towards social justice was to understand the root causes of oppression and discrimination. I believed that ignorance and fear were the main reasons behind these injustices. People were quick to judge and discriminate against others because they did not understand them. I saw that education and dialogue were key to addressing these issues. By educating people about the humanity and dignity of all individuals, I believed that we could begin to break down the barriers that divided us. I also believed in the power of nonviolent resistance. I saw that violence only bred more violence and hatred. By using nonviolent means to resist oppression, I believed that we could create a more just and peaceful society.
