Bryson and Katz face unpredictable weather from "summary" of A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson

Throughout our journey along the Appalachian Trail, Katz and I encountered a wide range of weather conditions, each more unpredictable than the last. From scorching heat to bone-chilling cold, from torrential rain to unexpected snowstorms, Mother Nature threw everything she had at us. It seemed as though we couldn't catch a break, as the weather changed on a dime, leaving us scrambling to adapt. One moment we would be sweating profusely under the blazing sun, our water supply dwindling rapidly. The next, dark clouds would roll in ominously, unleashing a deluge of rain that soaked us to the bone. We would trudge on through the mud and muck, our spirits dampened along with our clothes.
