Comparison is a trap that can snare even the most confident of mothers. It is all too easy to look around and see other mothers seemingly breezing through motherhood while we are struggling to keep our heads above water. We compare ourselves to the Instagram-perfect images of motherhood we see online, and we feel inadequate in comparison. But the truth is, comparison is toxic. It robs us of our joy and prevents us from fully embracing our unique journey as mothers. When we let go of comparison, we free ourselves from the burden of trying to measure up to impossible standards.
