Return to surface changed by epic adventure from "summary" of A Journey to the Center of the Earth (Barnes and Noble Collectible Classics: Children's Edition) by Jules Verne

After all, we were now returning from our journey to the center of the earth. Our minds filled with memories of the incredible sights we had witnessed, the dangers we had faced, and the knowledge we had gained. As we made our way back to the surface, we could not help but feel changed by the epic adventure we had experienced together. The journey had tested us in ways we could never have imagined. We had braved treacherous underground rivers, navigated through dark and winding tunnels, and even faced the threat of being trapped forever in the depths of the earth. But through it all, we had remained determined, resourceful, and united in our quest for discovery. As we emerged from the mouth of the volcano that had served as our entrance to the underworld, we breathed in the fresh air and felt the warmth of the sun on our faces. We were overwhelmed by a sense of awe and gratitude for having survived such an extraordinary expedition. But more than that, we had been transformed by the knowledge we had gained during our time beneath the earth's surface. We had witnessed natural wonders that few had ever seen, and had come to understand the power and beauty of the world beneath our feet. And so, as we made our way back to civilization, we carried with us not only memories of our adventure, but a newfound appreciation for the mysteries of the natural world. We knew that we would never be the same again, for we had been forever changed by our epic journey to the center of the earth.
