The benefits of meditation may not be immediately apparent but will manifest over time from "summary" of 10% Happier 10th Anniversary by Dan Harris

Meditation is not a quick fix. It’s not a magic pill. It’s more like a long-term investment in your own well-being. When you start meditating, you may not notice any immediate changes. You may even wonder if it’s doing anything at all. But over time, the benefits will begin to show themselves. It’s a slow process, like watching a seed grow into a tree. Just as you can’t see a plant growing in real-time, you may not see the changes happening within you as you meditate. But if you stick with it, you will start to notice a difference. Maybe you’ll find that you’re less reactive in stressful situations. Or perhaps you’ll feel more at peace with yourself and the world around you. These changes may be subtle at first, but they will become more pronounced as you continue to practice. Meditation is like exercise for your mind. Just as you wouldn’t expect to see immediate results after one workout, you shouldn’t expect instant transformation after one meditation session. It takes time for your mind to build strength and resilience. But if you keep showing up and putting in the effort, you will reap the rewards. Think of meditation as a journey rather than a destination. You may not know where it’s taking you, but you trust that it’s leading you somewhere good. It’s a process of self-discovery and self-improvement that unfolds gradually over time. And just like any journey, there will be ups and downs along the way. But if you stay committed and stay the course, you will eventually reach your destination. So don’t be discouraged if you don’t see immediate results from meditation. Trust in the process and have faith that the benefits will reveal themselves in due time. Remember that good things come to those who wait, and that includes the benefits of meditation. Keep meditating, keep growing, and keep evolving into the best version of yourself.
