When faced with fear, our natural inclination is to run away from it. We try to avoid situations that make us uncomfortable, that challenge us, that force us to confront our deepest anxieties. But by avoiding our fears, we only give them more power over us. We allow them to control us, to dictate our actions, to limit our potential. Courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to act in spite of it. It is the willingness to face our fears head-on, to acknowledge them, to confront them, to challenge them. It is the recognition that our fears are merely illusions, projections of our minds, obstacles that we have created for ourselves.
