The relationship between technology and the environment is a complex one. Technology is often seen as a means of controlling and manipulating the natural world, of bending it to our will. This attitude is rooted in a dualistic way of thinking, where humans are seen as separate from nature, as superior to it. This mindset leads to a lack of respect for the environment, to a disregard for the consequences of our actions. We see nature as something to be conquered, not something to be lived in harmony with.
