To be truly present means to be fully alive, completely awake, and in touch with the richness of each moment. When we are anchored in the present moment, we are not carried away by our regrets about the past or our worries about the future. We are free from the burden of our fears and anxieties. We can experience peace and joy in the here and now. Our minds have a tendency to wander, constantly jumping from one thought to another. This can lead us to become lost in our thoughts and disconnected from our true selves.
