In order to cultivate peace and happiness in our lives, it is essential to release our tendency to judge and dwell in negativity. When we hold on to judgments and negative thoughts, we create suffering for ourselves and others. These mental formations only serve to cloud our minds and block us from experiencing the present moment fully. Judging others often stems from a place of insecurity and a lack of understanding. When we judge someone, we are not truly seeing them for who they are. We are projecting our own fears and insecurities onto them, which only perpetuates a cycle of negativity. By letting go of judgment, we can open ourselves up to a more compassionate and empathetic way of relating to others.
